Program Policy

1. Continuing Education (CE) credit reporting

In alignment with our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional development and regulatory compliance, Continuing Education (CE) credits earned through participation in the Ethics and Professional Responsibility in Tax Practice program (hereinafter referred to as “program” or “the program”) will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for crediting to participants' Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) accounts only if they fulfill the attendance verification requirements as outlined in the "Verification of Attendance" section of the Program Syllabus as well as the requirements outlined in the “Program requirement” section of the Program Syllabus. Participants who meet the attendance verification criteria will have their CE credits reported to the IRS for the corresponding course. The reporting process adheres to IRS guidelines and timelines, ensuring that participants' professional education credits are accurately and promptly reflected in their PTIN accounts. Failure to comply with the attendance verification requirements may result in the non-reporting of CE credits to the IRS. It is the responsibility of each participant to adhere to these policies to ensure their professional development efforts are duly recognized and recorded.

2. Refund of registration fee

Participants who wish to cancel their enrollment in the program may request a full refund of their registration fee under the following condition: A refund request must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the course. Requests received after this deadline will not be eligible for a refund. To request a refund, participants must notify the program administration via the designated communication channel (e.g., email, online form) provided at the time of registration. The organization will process approved refunds within a specified period, typically within 7-10 business days, crediting the amount back to the original payment method used during registration.
